It’s not “just a paper clip”, it’s a lesson that we should preserve what’s valuable, but not ignore what’s possible when things change shape. This simple object teaches us the value of care, and the power of adaptability.
I'm a husband, father of four, and proud grandfather who values both family and meaningful work. I have a passion for mountain biking and spending time outdoors, especially with loved ones.
Originally from Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal, I completed my Bachelor of Accounting Sciences (BCompt) degree through UNISA while serving my articles. I later earned my MBA from the Nelson Mandela University Business School in 2011, and was honoured to be included in the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2012.
Over the course of my career, I’ve held senior leadership roles in a variety of companies across multiple industries. These experiences have shaped my practical, people-focused approach to leadership, strategy, and growth.
I am:
Methodical. I investigate issues fully. It is important to understand the root cause so that future errors can be avoided;
A problem solver. I relish the idea of being presented with a problem and get great satisfaction from constructing a solution to overcome it.
A motivator. I bring a positive energy to any team I am part of;
Analytical. I believe we must properly understand the data so we can make clear and informed decisions;
Relentless. If I believe in something I will find a way to make it work;
Ethical. Being known as someone who acts ethically is important to me as this builds trust. What is right may not be easy, but we should do it anyway;
Willing to listen and learn. I firmly believe in continual improvement. It does not have to be my idea. If it is a good idea, I will be supportive and get behind it.
